The feel of this umbrella in your hand is something to note. It looks good on the arm closed, and the slope of the canopy is elegant when open. The leather strip looks nice on the handle at a distance; unfortunately close-up it is seen to be exceedingly thin and the stitching is overly visible. The wire ribs of the umbrella are unfortunately not as sturdy as I could have hoped: I was hoping for the fiberglass or plastic used in many new umbrella. It does appear to be reinforced however, so not all bad. The material of the canopy makes up for many of these minor flaws though: it is almost magic! No more wet umbrella's when you go indoors, one shake and 99% of the water falls right off. Teflon weaved in with the polyester is a brilliant idea.
